Topic: Addressing ICE, Immigration, and Other Federal and State Concerns of Staff and Residents
In this session, the presenters will discuss the current regulatory impacts of current and sometimes conflicting federal and state policy to help long term care providers manage risk as best as they can during this challenging time. The presenter will share best practices and practical resources to help staff navigate concerns related to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), immigration status, and related issues—whether through written communication or potential in-person encounters. Attendees will also explore the rights of residents and staff in these situations and learn when it is appropriate to seek guidance from external legal counsel. It is important to note that these impacts and rules are constantly changing. This webinar is intended to give providers some guidance based on the current policies and requirements at the time to help you avoid disruptions and maintain your ability to deliver quality care to residents and support to staff.
